  2. Hi everybody I am Gaana. I had a lot of fun in Nrityagram. We got to meet the actors of the play 'the boy with a suitcase'. It was their 9th day of rehearsal. They did 16 pages of their script. Their script was 72 pages long. There was a lot of different instruments whish I and my friends heard.
We took 3 hours to reach there. We went by school bus. Our group got gummi bears toooooo!!! The production is in June. I hope we go back there again.

  4. Hi everybody! My name is Anusha. We had an awesome time at Nrityagram. What was very unique about this play was that actors from so many different places have come together to form a wonderful play. The play is very different from any I've ever seen before. What I enjoy is how the music is weaved into the play like its not deliberate. Its all connected. The action scenes were very interesting to watch. Good luck to all the actors and I'm really sure that the play will be a huge success!!! Can't wait to see 'The bo with a suitcase' in June! :D

  6. Hey everyone (well, people on the blog at least) I'm Arya and my grade (7th) went along with the 9th graders of our school to Nrityagaram today (March 1st 2011)...and it was awesome!!! We got to see the actors and the first bit of what they have done. It was really cool because there were not even 10 actors and all of them were from different parts of the world. I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing them again in June.

  11. Hey everyone!!! I'm Sid(Siddharth). Our class(7th grade) went to Nritygram yesterday along with the 9th grade. The environment and surroundings were awesome. I really was looking forward to getting a tour to get the place but there wasn't enough time. Though we all wanted cookie sir to play the guitar for us but he didn't instead we did the clapping beat thing.

  13. Hi everyone here is a little info I have collected about Ranga Shankra
Ranga Shankara is one of Bangalore best known theatres. It is located in the south Bangalore area of J.P Nagar and is run by Sanket Trust. The auditorium, which opened in 2004. It resembles Mumbai's Prithvi Theatre.
It aims to promote theatre in all languages and prides itself in lending out the space at an extremely low fare. It follows an at least “a play a day” policy, six days a week. Its annual theatre festival brings to the city plays from across the country, giving the audience a good spread to choose from

  14. Hey all! Here is something I read about Nrityagram, thanks to tanish! I finally know what to post about!
    Nrityagram-
Nrityagram Dance Village is situated at a distance of approximately 30 km from the city of Bangalore. Founded by Protima Guari. One of the unique features of the village is its traditional gurukula style of teaching.

Students from various parts of the world come to this village to get trained in the various forms of Indian classical dances, like Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, etc. Apart from various courses in classical dance, it also offers courses in allied subjects like music, philosophy, painting, choreography, etc.
A great place for dancers.... who only want to dance!!! :D

  15. Andrea (director, schnawwl Mannheim)March 6, 2011 at 1:15 AM

Sunday in Nrityagram, first day since you all have been with us on tuesday to read your comments. We are all very happy that you seem to have enjoyed - so did we. The first reactions of the audience is important and exiting and inspires us. For example: one of your first questions was, about what would happen with Krysia and Naz when the Soldiers made them leave the bus. Tuesday evening we rehearsed that scene: it became quite thrilling because we felt you all want to know about the truth of the fates of fugetives who have to face a lot of cruelty and danger on their long ways to a new home...
Greetings to all of you from Andrea (director of the play)
